We have spent a fair bit of time riding the Shift (albeit Salomon's version) and rate it. It provides excellent power transfer and there are definitely moments that you forget you are riding a touring binding at all. It skis well and tours excellently.

Of course, if multi-day mega hikes are your thing there are definitely lighter options out there. It is lightweight for a freeride setup, 850 odd grams is a fair bit for a true touring setup. Definitely falls within the crossover alpine touring segment of the market.
